Can construction robots be used to upgrade a bus from yellow belts to red or do I need them to deconstruct the yellow bus and then construct a red bus

In vanilla bots can't be used to upgrade belts. Best way would be to do it yourself by selecting the belt your going to, and place 'em on top of the ones that are there, it'll replace 'em and you'll get the old belt back, plus the materials stay on the belt. There used to be a mod that let you upgrade belts and a couple other things using bots, but I don't know if it's still being updated.
