This large tower has power to it but does not have any powerlines connecting it to the others.

Building poles further out that connect to the off pole don't get power and the highlighted pole no longer shows it having electricity.

Edit:
Also replacing powerpoles seems to make some connections drop.

The large power pole to your right has the max 5 connections going to it so the one you're mousing over won't connect.

That's by design - not a bug.

It does not have any connections and it does not connect any entities with power demand.

I did not know this. Where is this information posted because I don't see it on the wiki for the Big electric pole or Electric network

We don't maintain the wiki fully and we change things frequently enough that it's outdated. So, it's not posted anywhere.
