double filter for inserter, red/green wires

Smart inserters have two conditions, but only one filter that applies indifferently whether the on signal comes from the red or green wire

can we have an 'advanced filter inserter', having two filters that apply for red and green conditions?

as in: red wire has a copper ingot < 100 condition and a filter for picking only copper ingots
green wire has a iron plate < 100 condition and a filter for picking only iron plates

this way one belt can feed a chest two ingredients in a narrower setup.

why two and not three or 'n'? because belts have two sides so it comes natural to tune things to that.

This would also be cool if circuit network support is ever introduced for trains. Some kind of a "selector inserter".

Those suggestions are per sure part of some update... I'm sure there will be much more complex logic possible and circuit logic for trains in this or other form.
I'm not searching for the threads yet, there are many.

But then in your example, which will it pick assuming it's connected to both networks? Copper or Iron? If you're going to say "Both", how's that different from the current behavior (of simply applying both item on the one filter allowed).

There will. When the time comes we will take a lot of inspiration from the forums because ideas about extending the circuit network are coming often.
