Style/CSS Suggestions

I couldn't find any topics for what I wanted, so I figured we could have a broad topic about the styles used on the site.
I feel that the block quotes used with the markdown have the font color too close to the color of the background. (It's a dark gray on a slightly lighter gray)
Also, I'm not sure about the font for the description in general, black on gray seems like it could be an issue with some people, or some monitors.
