I tried opening 0.13.1 when it threw this error and crashed :

<unspecified file>(1): unmatched '['

I looked around on Google and saw some very old threads stating people having the same problem and deleting their factorio folder in appdata/roaming fixed it. I tried doing it but I just couldn't get it to work. Every time I did that, the game would load and show the following image:


If I tried exiting the game and running Factorio again, the "unspecified file" error would return. I tried it without adding any of my previous saves. Same error.

Here's my factorio log file :

Try deleting the player-data.json file from your application directory and start the game again.
If that does not do it reinstalling should fix it.

Delete the file `C:\Users\sparsh\AppData\Roaming\Factorio\player-data.json`, it has been corrupted somehow.

Today when I switched on my comp and tried factorio it worked! I don't know how but the problem fixed itself

The problem returned again. Although the problem only occurs if I play Factorio, close it and put my laptop to sleep. If I wake the laptop up from sleep and try to switch on Factorio, it throws the same error. Restarting fixes the problem. Other programs seem to run fine even after waking the laptop from sleep. Its strange.

I think I'll reinstall Factorio.
