Burner inserter with stack bonus quits if it wants to fuel itself but is holding incomplete stack of ore.

I researched 2nd stack bonus and the burner inserter just quits after a while. It's not out of fuel but it doesn't fill it's stack. It wants to refuel itself but is stuck loading ore. Furnace has fuel. I haven't seen it happen with any other inserters.

Edit: In this save file the burner inserter if the upper left has already failed. In less than 2 min one of them in the lower right will fail. The desired outcome is that once the inserter realizes it wants to refuel itself it should first finish filling it's stack before changing task even if it means it might run out of fuel. If that's a bug it is a different bug.

Same problem here, as soon as got stack size bonus research my furnace stopped working.
Forgot about the stack size change and thought it was related to update to .13.1 and inserter handling both coal and iron/copper/stone but this thread is correct in the end.

After some time I was able to reproduce this on a new map in 13.3.
It seems the inserter is trying to add coal to its not yet full gripping device and fails as the device already has at least one ore in it an it can only hold one type of item.

Inserter derping fixed in Version: 0.13.7.

Stuck inserters in old savegames will eventually get unstuck as the belt moves.
