[0.13.0] [kovarex] Railway signal placement disallowance
Posted: Tue Jun 28, 2016 12:04 pm
Version: 0.13.0
OS: Windows 10 x64
What I have is a train station with no right exit, so a train can only leave the station by changing its direction. However, when placing signals, it disallowed me to use my normal signal setup for such a station. I usually have the setup recreated below with a chain signal on the right hand side of the 'train in'-track. Note that it does not matter whether or not there is a direct track from 'train in' to 'train out'.
For some reason it is impossible to place a signal on the right hand side of the 'train in'-track, although it would result in a proper system also found in some pass by stations.
It gets weirder, as when an additional signal is placed on the 'train out'-track in the direction I do not want trains to go, it suddenly allows for correct placement of a signal on the 'train in'-track. My solution now is to temporarily add the unwanted signal so the desired signal can be placed, after which the temporary signal is removed. This, however, feels counterintuitive.
