From the FAQ:
I bought the game via Steam, can I get the Factorio login for that as well?
Yes, it is possible. Simply create a free account at factorio.com and then head to profile where you will find directions on how to connect it to your Steam account. It is strongly recommended to create the account with the same username you have on Steam already.
After you have done that, you can download the non-steam version directly from the website.
Unfortunately, all old versions were removed (in preparation for 0.13 i guess) and you cant download them anymore.
According to the following line of the ToS, we must´nt reupload copies of the game, so we cant provide 0.12.33 for you.
Don't sell, copy, transfer or distribute the game, its hacked / altered version, any of its parts or any of our paid content.
Since im not playing via steam, im not sure if thats possible, but you could check the beta-branch: There might still be a entry to revert back to 0.12.33

I made 0.12.33 temporarily available as a beta on Steam.

Usually, non-stables are available for a short while after release, but I think they were all cleared down to stables only due to the upcoming 0.13 release.

As another user of this game, I have to say how much you guys rock! One of my biggest gripes about Steam is the automatic forced updates. If this game was done by a larger publisher you'd be forced to update your game, and if it broke your mods, you'd be SOL until the mod manager could fix it. I'm using Bob's amazing mods and thankfully they have continued to work throughout the last couple months of patches, but I was constantly afraid of the day that stuff might go south and I'd have no way to revert back. It's awesome you guys were able to provide a beta version for IFOR's group to keep playing at their current patch level, giving them time to get everything back up to speed so it works. It's even more awesome you can link your steam account so you can download the older versions. Those DRM free copies will be invaluable if some day your mod maintainer stops updating and you want to keep playing with how your game is configured well into the future.

As a side note, the version mismatch code is a nice addition to 12.35. I think when 12.33 initially rolled out it broke previous versions of the server, but the client just said it couldn't communicate with the server. Took me a minute to figure out that steam had updated my client a few times while the server wasn't patched.

Oh, don't worry, the day when an update breaks compatabillity with my mods WILL come, such as the 0.13 update. The good thing though is that I'll be working on a fix. I don't know how steam will handle a 0.13 release, but most likely it will come in the form of a beta, making update to it optional, so by the time you notice it's broken, there'll already be a fix waiting.
