Automatic lights at train station?

Just a quick question. I've finally sorted my train system out after hours of messing around and I thought it would be a nice touch if I could have lights come on whenever one of my trains pulled up at the station. I then discovered there was no way of connecting red/green wire to railway signals so I don't know where any other signal could come from when a train arrives. Does anyone have any suggestions for a way around this?

Hello,
you could use SmartTrains and the SmartStation (
viewtopic.php?f=97&t=14432) or wait until version 0.13 which have this feature implemented.

I believe this changes in .13 making such logic possible in vanilla.
