Isn't it about time to implement pretty looking tech tree and overall overhaul of user interface(with the buttons, fonts and overall looking to have some determined style)?

No, it isn't. The developers have priorities and plans. I don't expect to see cosmetic changes any time soon.

Tech trees are cool

Would love to see something similar implemented to factorio, dont think it is that hard either...
Maybe not the time, but soon? Or who knows?

Try drawing a Factorio tech tree yourself. You'll see that there are MUCH more interconnections between lines than in Civ => making it pretty will take more effort. More so because (as I suppose) the current interconnections are temporary - there are just too many inconsistencies, like SP3 requiring the research of Rocketry, but actually needing Batteries now. Also, the tech tree doesn't take into account EVERY interconnection on fabrication level - the simplest example is laser turrets, you need batteries, but you do not need the Batteries tech to research Laser Turrets.

A few folks are working on making item recipe graphs:

I'll probably take a crack at making a tech tree/graph tool soon, based on the same code.

Does not matter the same tech-tree can be found in the second post of the first link
