Looking for mod

Hello,

so many topics and subforums in this mod part, I hope I have picked the right one to post in.

I m looking for a simple mod that does following things:

- drasticly increase the ammount of resources needed to finish the game (or maybe a different end goal, that requires more resources) (unfortunately even on "everything low" settings the game doesn t really force you to build big railway networks)

That is basicly the only thing I want to have changed, the rest the game should stay more or less as it is.

- if there are a few new structures / weapons / tools / items, cool , but i don t want additional 25 different types of inserters like i saw in some mods
- terraforming would be appreciated, but is not mandatory

Thanks and pls excuse my bad english.

PS: i love this game, the best 20 bucks i spent in years.

Marathon might be the sort of mod you're looking for: viewtopic.php?f=91&t=13567

Moved to Modding discussion.
Mods ‹ Gameplay / Vanilla+ is only for topics that actually contain mods.

As Supercheese already mentioned the Marathon mod should be for you. It changes the recipes so the cost to build them is much larger, effectively you'll need a lot more resources to finish the game. It also doesn't add any additional ores/items/recipes/buildings at all.

You can also combine this with the RSO mod. It will spread out the resource patches more but also give you more resources the further away from the starting location the resource patch is, forcing you to use trains.

Another alternative to Marathon is Science Overhaul Mod A.K.A Science Cost Tweaker which increases the cost for science 4x to 9x and also adds dedicated production lines and a few intermediate items (look at the Production Chain image in the linked topic).

Thirding Marathon. If you just want a longer game with more use of raw resources, without too many other changes, Marathon is the way to go. If you want a longer game with a lot more complexity, you might try Bob's Mods or Hard Crafting.
