[0.9.1] bug in yield calculation of drills

so I finally went around to tweak the resources as to get coal, iron, copper and stone infinite, with minimum yield at 10%

the drills get to the minimum quite fine, drilling one resource every 10 drill animation, so that works.

the problem is how the drill select the square to be mined: it looks like the drill might get stuck on a minimum yielding tile instead of using the best one

if you check the screenshot, the drill is digging a square having 0.1 yield, ignoring the nearby tile that still has 420% yield.

I hope this resource mechanic (kust like oil) will be implemented in the main game (with proper balanced values) as proposed some weeks before.

nah I am quite content in having it moddable.

I'll just post the mod when bugs are fixed.

Thanks for the report. Yes there is a bug that the mining drill would get "stuck" on the resource with lowest yield. That will be fixed in 0.9.2. However the behavior when the mining drill is arbitrarily choosing between resources (not giving any preference) will stay. The way we picture it is that the mining drill is "equally" mining everything in its radius.

It's fine for me :)

Is it correct, that if I want to get out most of such a resourcefield with this mod (even at the depletion point with 5% yield), I have to build as many miners as physically possible, even if the areas overlap heavily? As to speak 2 miners make the double output, even if areas overlap?

Yes

Shouldn't this be on modding subsection?
Also, it looks like a good idea to have the ore deposits work as the oil, giving smaller output and forcing you to find more

Any chance I can get a working version of this mod? :)
