Hi

under windows 8.1, 2800x1400 resolution, 200% dpi, the mouse cursor is relatively big and goes to cover the number of items you have while you are holding an item to being placed

Temporary fix: make your mouse cursor smaller, or a cross instead of a pointer.

Fixed for 0.11.16.

The game detects system dpi and scales according to it, and it is also possible to set the custom scale.

P.S. I have similar resolution, and the main reason for it is, that I can see a lot of stuff on the screen now, I don't really understand why do people scale it up.

kovarex,

read my post here. About windows 8.1

https://forums.factorio.com/forum/vie ... =49&t=6818

DPI sizes are set automaticly by windows, users don't scale them self.

I needed to put the option on the factorio shortcut to make it compatible with WIndows 8.1

Windows 8.1 got a new feature, compared to windows 8 or 7

btw mouse cursors don't increase in size with 200%dpi thats a manual change setting.

what happens if factorio autoscales, and windows autoscales the game it self to?

Windows should never autoscale the game, as you loose resolution that way.
