Trains: Collision boxes are ignored in manual mode

Hello,

first i thought there is a bug in the Rail Tanker mod, but after playing with other wagons i get the same pictures.

If the train is controlled by the player and encounters another train, probably driving backward, the visible boundaries are ignored and the train moves in the next wagon. A damage is possible anyway.
As average player i would expect, that the train connects on contact.

The hole post is located here with pictures: viewtopic.php?f=93&t=6847&p=153874#p153874
Don't want to move them, but did a quick test with vanilla trains:

I'm not really sure what you're saying is wrong.

Can you give 1, 2, 3 style steps on how to reproduce the issue and what you'd expect to happen vs what is happening?

To reproduce, put a cargo wagon and a loco on rails with significant space between, that they don't connect.
Drive with the loco in direction of the wagon ...

Visible behavior: the loco dives into the wagon.
Expected behavior: the loco stops at the visible edge of the wagon.
Better behavior: the loco stops at the visible edge of the wagon and connects with it.

Hope it helps.

Locomotive and cargo wagon collision boxes aren't the same as the selection boxes by design. That's not a bug.

Also connecting is only done when building or triggering the connect key, Trains aren't meant to connect by driving into another one.
