BUGFIX: 02MAY2016: Version 0.1.56
Resoves issues with loading games with minimized icons and with previous version of PeaceAndProsperity
UPDATE: 29-Apr-2016 : Version 0.1.5
  • GUI is slightly more verbos
  • GUI can be minimized to a small 16x16 icon on the LEFT SIDE of the players screen
  • *Should* now now support ores from 3rd party mods (tested with BOBS ores and it seems to work ... let me know if it does not work)

I'm sure that someone has made a mod out there like this ... but really I just wanted a simple way to toggle peaceful mode and spawn resources, and I couldn't find one off hand so I made one.

Nice video.

Very useful mod, now i can span oil patches where i want :)

Please consider the size of your panel because in the meanwhile there are a lot of mods with buttons in the upper left corner.
More and more and the screen will be full with buttons instad of game toplay :)

Maybe a nice gui behind a smaller button would relax the corner if you like.

Thanks a lot for this mod which i use only for crude oil spots ==> Middle and late game are so dependent on oil that rare (and, most important low density) spots are really not enough. Need to multiply train stations to make it work properly : simply not funny.

Note : To increase density of crude oil spots generated by this mod, modify the property "amount" line 62 of control.lua file. 15000 gives 200% spots

Ok, just to get this clear:

You can set the aliens to be peaceful at the start of the game, and then later set them to aggressive when you feel you're ready?

Does this work in a game that's already in progress?

Are you considering JUST releasing the peaceful/aggression in a separate mod?

yes it should allow you to toggle between peace and aggression at will (to be fair I have not tested starting peaceful -> aggression ... but i regularly start aggressive and immediately toggle to peace and then toggle back to aggressive once my base is sufficiently defended)


I will look into a configuration setting or something to hide the ore portion in a future release, I guess could release it as a standalone if people would want that ... (you dont have to use the ore patch portion)

Separate mods are generally better because there is a smaller chance of things breaking due to updates and/or other mods.

This will allow users who installed a previous version of PeaceAndProsperity and had a saved game they were loading to use the upgraded features

Bug
Minimalize GUI -> save game -> load this game. You have now both minimalize and normal GUI. Game goes to main menu when you try to minimalize or klick on small icon.

I'm running BobOres, 5dim ores and rare earth mod, and none of the new ores come up, nor can I minimize the GUI. Not sure how to test to see if anything else is in conflict.

do you get an error or something when you try to minimize? I'll test it with the other mods tonight... It should work fine with BOBS-ORES(thats the only ore addon I tested it with)? are you using 0.1.56? sorry for the inconvenience. I will quickly fix this assuming I can reproduce it

Im pretty sure thats not version 0.1.56 (I think thats 0.1.2 maybe?) make sure you download 0.1.56 from https://github.com/joranbeasley/Factori ... 0.1.56.zip

Yes, sir, that was the problem. The version that I got from factoriomods.com never updated, so I've apparently reinstalled the same old version more than a few times... I feel quite silly now :P
