Limiting custom gun to only using one type of magazine?

Hello again! I have made a gun for my mod but I how can I make the gun only be compatible with my custom magazine? I don't want to have the ability to use the default ammo in the gun. Like with the flamethrower. How can I do this?

is it as simple as creating a new "ammo-category" and using that as the type? ...just a guess because I am just starting to make my own gun mod.
