Ressources farther away: RSO or vanilla settings

Hi,

I would like the game to be based on longer distances. With default settings, I launched my first rocket whithout going anywhere far away from the spawn, wich is a bit sad!

I was wondering if RSO is necessary to give more distances to the gameplay, or if the vanilla game settings allow to do something similar (but why would RSO exist then, i guess).

I would like to have a real reason to use big trains, for example.

thanks!

I think, the devs thought about something like this. The further you go, the more biters there are but also more ores exist.

Probably you can check out the FFF? :) But i think, it could be nice. Would give the game more depts perhabs...

I believe they plan to implement the ability to do this in vanilla in the future, but unfortunately for right now RSO is probably your best bet.

RSO and FARL are must play mods even if you are trying to do vanilla only. Foreman is also nice because you can save your blueprints from one game and load them into another.
