Dude, Where's My Car?

Please tell me if this already exists... I find myself spending too much time looking for where I parked the car (or tank?).
Requested is a mod that would help locate where the vehicles are parked. Perhaps when extended information mode is activated, a small box flashes on the minimap for a second at the location of any unoccupied car or tank.
Or whatever idea you may have, just so we're not running around the map searching for where the darn things are parked.
Worst case, I'm willing to dive into coding this but don't know anything about it. Ideas/thoughts/suggestions/THE MOD all appreciated, thanks!
