Copy / paste settings within cargo wagons

You can copy paste logistic settings from one box (or smart inserters) To another with shift + right click then paste with shift + left click.

This feature should be expanded to cargo train slots so you can copy / paste the filter setting for each slot within the cargo wagon. Have been setting up my outpost train, requiring lots of filters to be added to each slot so I can fill it with the exact type and number of various items I want The current system of middle click then selecting each item for every-single-slot is a huge pain in the ass.

you can place one item in the slot and then middle-click it.

That'll set the filter to the item in the slot. and then you can move the item to the next slot.

Ghoulish, that's already working like you described in the first line of your post. :)

Didn't know about this, helps a little. Thanks.

It's still not ideal however, look at this,

Just spent ages filtering this one cargo wagon for an oil pickup - modded wagon so bigger than the norm, I've now got to do the other 3 (I'm using 1-4-1 setup) So that's what 400 clicks for each wagon I want to set up, 1600 per oil train... That's excessive in my eyes, gear grinding too.. Even with vanilla wagons the amount of clicking to set up filters is over the top. And I'll have to do that for every additional oil train I'll add.. Not to mention having to do the 3 I already have.

A copy paste setting would be a huge help. To allow us to bulk copy setting from one wagon to the other.

That is exactly what the doctor ordered! And I hope a feature for sooner rather than later :)

Now I see why this got spirited away to implemented! I was trying to copy paste individual slots within the wagon, never dawned to try on the whole wagon. Man, I wish I knew this a few months back :)

ps. Soz ssilk, didn't see your earlier post.. Need new glasses.

There is also a mod named FastFilterFill that will help you inside one wagon.
