There's no way to take green wires off smart chests and smart inserters unless you lift the chests up? If the chest is full it will put all the stuff into your inventory and there isn't room. I was experimenting with green wires and I hooked the chests to inserters and then to poles. Now I can't take the wires off and I think it will screw things up trying to have certain numbers of things sent here and there.

Just connect the same entities with the same colour again and the wire gets removed.
