What is an acceptable time for a mod to use?

Looking at the time used info, how to tell if my mod is "going overboard"?

Each frame should take 16.667 MS, so presumably my time should be <<16.667, but is 2 ms acceptable? 0.5ms?
Obviously the lower the better, but I'm trying to get an idea of how much is acceptable (no noticeable lag on incurred by mod).

I don't know of a hard and fast metric for this, but I figure that as long as you're comfortably less time_used than the YARM mod (when it is monitoring a half dozen sites or so), then you should be fine. It's an arbotrary reference point, I know, but YARM is a popular & useful mod with a time_used that is higher than many mods, but still fine for game performance.

That's a good starting point, thanks.
Do you have a ballpark for how much it uses, if I'm too lazy to download it and see for myself? ;)

IIRC it idles around 0.1 with peaks of up to 0.25 or so. But it could be different in your environment so I do recommend installing it and running both it and your mod together to get a direct comparison.
