updated to 12.27 on steam and tried launching, but kept gettin unexpected errors
so tried uninstalling and installing again, didnt help
still gettin unexpected errors but nothing in appsdata folder but save folder and no log file anywhere

Can you post just a bit more information about your crashes ?
Steam or website version ?

got it resolved after uninstalling, reboot and install again
and it was steam version
