I was just thinking that Factorio makes it easy enough to manipulate the graphics that I think it might cool for there to be a TRON themed conversion.
I'm willing to do work on this if anyone wants to join me or give me ideas. For instance, what would the TRON parallel tech tree be?
Also, if someone is willing to give me a guideline for how the sprites should look, I would undertake the task of repainting the textures.
We can divide up labor however we want.
That is if there is enough interest of course.
I simply don't have enough interest myself to pursue it as an individual project. I'm sure that if others want to make it happen though, we can pool resources and make it a reality.

The biggest questions in my opinion would be...

What would be the goal in a TRONesque factory? Who do we provide items for? Just for own survival like currently?
Who is the enemy who seeks to destroy your factory? An army of rogue programs? C.L.U's occupation army? Grid Bugs like in the animated series Tron: Uprising?

That's the question's that would have to go into working out a concept first. Just converting the sprites to an ultra modern theme shouldn't be too hard for a bunch of skilled graphic artists.

Oh by the way I don't know how much copyright infrigement there would be involved in doing that... There probably couldn't be any of the character names and stuff in the mod. Disney is pretty stingy with that. xD
