I just bought Factorio and I really want to enjoy it but I can't because, every time I launch it my computer freezes and I have to restart the my computer is there a fix to this?

This doesn't help because im running on a mac

cant really help u there then dont know anything about macs

Could you please upload the log file (factorio-current.log) and post your system specs?

A total computer freeze sounds a lot like the issues I've experienced when trying to run Factorio on a system that wasn't powerful enough. But, I won't know that until you can provide the above information.

I played the game for about a week and it is very nice to play but in the last days i had much problems with the game. My MacBook Pro shuts down and restart when i'm playing. I have no idea why this happens. I've set the grafics to low, diabled the smoke and the clouds and set the game in generell to a low level of graficuse but it still shuts down my Mac Book...

The tips in the link did not help sadly but i want to play the game because it is absolutely awesome!

Has anyone tips and help for me?

Here are my MacBook stats:
2.66 GHz Intel Core i7
8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Intel HD Graphics 288 MB

I was trying to fix the problem on my own and now i have a huge tip for every MacBook user or anyone who runs the game on a low-end computer:

- turn out clouds
- turn out smoke
- grafic settings on low (not very low)
- graficcard use to medium or high (not all)
- most important: don't run the game in fullscreen! I have no idea why, but in screenmode it works perfectly fine. You can scale it to the size of your screen and it works very smooth. In fullscreenmode it crashs after some minutes but with screenmode it runs for 1-2 hours without problems

Does your graphic card really have 288MB of memory? Factorio requires 512MB.

Could you send me the log of the crash? It might have something to do with graphics card switching, if that's the case, you could use something like https://gfx.io/ to force it to use the more powerful card, if it's defaulting to the integrated one.
