Splitters and Maths... 3-way? 6-way?

Is there any way to split a line 3 ways, or 6 ways? Yeah, math was never my strong suit in school... but it seems to me that if you're dealing with a splitter that always takes 50%, it would be kind of difficult to split a line 33/33/33. Unless there's some fancy belt trick to do this? Looking at a few YouTubers videos of their smelting setups, and dutifully using a similar design myself, I soon came to the realization that using a splitter to split your coal or ore between lines makes for a huge imbalance in which smelting lines are getting how much. In a typical coal belt smelting setup, the first line is getting 50%, the next 25%, the next 12%, etc... Anyone have any good ideas or setups for feeding odd numbers of lines an even amount of product (3 lines, 5 lines, 6 lines)?

You can loop back the extra output back to the input
