I stand around planning what to do suddenly there is a metallic explosion sound. Well I can't see anything - no indications of anything. Nothing damaged, nothing attacked, nothing dead. Is that an alien preparing to attack me from underrgound?

You pressed accidentally space, you had a shotgun in the hands (or a rocket launcher) and you blew something up ?

Nope it happens constantly (not like every 5s or something) but like every 5-10 minutes it will come. Doesn't even matter where I am on the map or what I do.

Do you have a way to record your gameplay with sound and upload a small vid with that part like on youtube or something ? never heard of that kind of problems.

or maybe ur combat robots. they only last for some time and then explode. took me a bit to realise what was exploding.

That is a good point.

The combat robots should make a sound BEFORE they explode and the explosion should be just some "Plopp".
