  • Bugfixes
    • Fixed the corrupted level 2 of the New hope campaign, that was producing corrupted saves. If you are already playing this level, you have to start it over, I'm sorry for the trouble.
    • Fixed the performance issue in the same level after train transport is researched.
    • Fixed that the game reported the error to be related to overlay always when it crashed.
    • Fixed rare crash related to splitting item in entity that is just about to be destroyed. (viewtopic.php?t=20818)
    • Sending random packets to factorio port can still crash the server eventually, the probability will just be lower. (viewtopic.php?t=20154)
    • Running biters over with a car or tank will make them aggressive in peaceful mode (viewtopic.php?t=20866).
Use the automatic updater if you can (check experimental updates in other settings) or download full installation at http://www.factorio.com/download/experimental.

Sometimes you just need a hotfix... ^^

It is on steam.

Right-click Factorio in your Library. Go to Properties. On the Betas tab, change it to experimental - Experimental version.

What caused that perormance issue anyway?
It was a weird issue- pressing F5 seemed to temporarily solve it, for example.

What? No.

Bugfix updates are meant to install right normally, and experimental is for 0.13.

It was not marked stable right away, experimental doesnt necessarily mean 0.13, there could still be experimental 12.27.

Default Steam will be whatever the devs consider "stable" at the time. Steam Beta opt-in is for whatever the latest "experimental" version is (same as turning on experimental updates in the game options).

On this matter, devs could create a specific branch with the (un)loader so everyone could test it further down

That's not really how we do things

Damn, I definitely could use testings before making my mind about this item. ^^

If you want to test things you could implement them in a deactivated mod. Everyone who wants to test them can activate that.

Just use Slipstream chests mod, they're pretty close to what was presented in FFF
