I opted in to the 0.12.25 beta on Steam, verified my game files to force Steam to recognize the beta, and then launched Factorio. Once in game, I was prompted to login in order to update to 0.12.25, which I did. The auto-updater downloaded the zip file, performed the update, and then crashed at the "restarting factorio" step. (I think -- I wasn't 100% paying attention at this point.)

I've attached the logfile: After I closed the dialogue box alerting me to the crash and asking me to submit a bug report, Factorio restarted and is apparently running 0.12.25. It seems to run just fine.

It could be a problem on my end, since I have the non-Steam version of Factorio installed (outside of Steam) because I couldn't get multiplayer to work with the Steam version.

Are you sure you launched the Steam version? Because that version has the updater disabled, you won't get prompted to log in, or to update.
