Versus multiplayer

Hello, I don't really know is this the right place to post my thoughts, so correct me if i'm wrong.

It's an idea for a mod or even an official branch of multiplayer functionality.
Description: spawn two or more people on different locations on the map, where will be their "home location". Let there be a structure that resembles main base/home/respawn point.
Main goal: Each of the players must destroy the main base/home/respawn point of all other players. It's not a perfect idea, but a starting point for future thoughts.
Gameplay: So you and your enemy spawned. First thing is to build a base and start researching military stuff, and as usual - collect and process resources for production. Then start searching for the opponent and using your military breakthroughs to try and exterminate him, on the other hand, you must have a good defence and walls so he doesn't win easily. It can also be like king of the hill. you must capture oppnonent's starting "thing" and keep it in your base for set amount of time, but he can still steal it back.

What we need first is for your turrets and your gun to see other players as foes, from there, it's a totally other metagame! I'd love to play against other players, for example to conquer more resources or to launch rocket first, but military equipment needs to see them as enemies to shoot and also they (opponents) must be able to only destroy your structures (not collect).

If there is already something like that, please, point me in the right direction.
PS: I could even work on the mod like this, if there isn't one and people like my idea.
PPS: It's even more interesting thinking of a potential robbery. So you need to protect your trains and warehouses.

The mod you are looking for is the EasyPvP mod.

You can assign different teams (called forces) for different players. Each force has its independent technology progress. Turrets (and other military units, e.g. combat robots) will attack players from other forces. You can not interact with buildings placed by other forces, except destroying them. You can also assign a player the biter force, then they will not attack him.

The modding API also allows you to set cease fire between specific forces, but I don't think this is implemented in the EasyPvP mod.
