About cables... would like more color options...

Greetingz...
Just bought the game about a week ago (with bitcoin ) and I absolutely love it... I can't believe that it is still in alpha! It plays better than many games that are in release/stable!
I am a little disappointed, however, that I only have red/green options for the signal cables... I need more options to keep my networks separated, and to color code by function.
I would like to see 8 colors available... Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Violet, Black, and White. It seems that it wouldn't take much extra work at all to implement more colors, and it would allow us more flexibility in the systems we are creating... (and mostly, to be able to visually distinguish which network is which)
Also, I noticed that it takes 1 electronic circuit to turn a standard copper wire into a cable, and I personally think it should also take 1 unit of plastic on top of it.
Power wires are usually bare cable without insulation, except for the 'last-mile' that run through the neighborhoods and connect to the buildings after their capacity is stepped down... leaving the power wires bare seems logical to me, but making signal cable, you would need plastic for the colored insulation on the cables... so, this is a 2-part suggestion.
1: increase cable selection from 2 to 8 colors
2: require plastic when crafting colored cable
Thank you for your time.
