[0.12.20] Audible distance modifyer only negative

When I try to load a prototype with a audible distance modifyer greater than 1, it errors with the following
Im working on a little thing and it'd be great if i could increase the audible distance range, instead of only being able to decrease it, maybe up to values of 10 (to prevent abuse?)
Or if there is another way to increase the 'range' that a working sound can be heard, that would be great too, atm you have to stand quite close to hear it

I must be msising something. How is this a bug? You set the modifier to a value greater than 1 which is not allowed, and it clearly tells you that you did something that isn't allowed. Sounds like a user error to me.

Ahh right, maybe I was too zippy earlier before reading,
But to me there is the bug that with the game that i can quite easily decrease audible distance, but there is no way to increase it. When i saw the distance modifyer i thought it was perfect for what i needed, but this max = 1 limitation means i cannot use it for that. Which is also why i ask if there is a different method/definition for increasing the audible distance

It is limitation of the engine, so it doesn't have to check entities that are very far for sounds.
