multiplayer game mode idea

So I had a thought for a game mode that would seem to work well with factorio
So the idea is based on a railroad tycoon II mission the idea was you had to move goods around to various provinces on the map to improve your military score there, if your combined opponent score for adjacent territories beat your score, you lost the province. The idea could work the same for factorio, divide up a small map into several small areas that contain a score value for each player and a hub for delivering stuff (or have a bug building that can be built), when ever a player delivers a specific type of good their score goes up (ie bullets = 1, oil = 0.3m repair, kits = z.y) if their score beats their opponents score by a certain amount for a set amount of time they gain control of near by areas.
