Alright so this may be a really stupid question, but before I do something wrong I was hoping someone could help me out here. xD

I am wanting to give the game as a gift to someone but I don't know their email so can't have it sent there. Would I just buy it as normal and have the code sent to me and then just give the code to them to activate it and create an account? I just don't want their account connected to my email or anything. Again, sorry if this is a dumb question but I wanted to make sure I'm doing it right before I spend the money. Lol

Technically you can create a second account buy it for that and then give the log-in detail to the person and allow them to change the email and password on the account.

The code is not tied to an account until you log into factorio.com and enter it.

I've had the same problem ... but then my friend bought the game by himself, and the need for me to offer him Factorio became obsolete
