Belt overflow logic

This is a simple idea for a way to prioritize things, and an alternate way to split a belt without a splinter, but still early game tech and just as fast. Basically, the idea is if items on a belt back up to this, they all start going down this other belt you've connected instead, seems simple, then you think about multiple lanes.

Effectively, each lane would be counted separately, and there'd be four parts in this mod, (12 if you want these for red and blue belts as well) one for overflow of the right lane to be split off to the right, one for the left lane to be split off to the left, one for the left lane of a belt to overflow onto the right, and one for the right lane to overflow onto the left.

As for what they should need to be made, i'd say the belt it will be built on, plus a few iron plates and gears, there's no high speed movement, just a metal gate changing where things go.

In other words, you want a splitter that always goes left (or right), except when it overflows it puts the overflowing items on the other belt?
And for lanes the same: a 'splitter' (one belt wide) that prefers one output lane of a belt except when it overflows it goes to the other lane?

Pretty much, when you think about it like that, it sounds a lot easier. Would it be that easy to code?
