I've been following factory for quite a few years and i saw the game improving and improving and start to love it more!
As for the suggestion in future content about having to process food for colonists i'd like to go more indept in what i'd like to see.

Processing milk!

We need cows with automated ranchers( to milk the cows).
The milk we can buffer in a milk tank.

The raw milk can be processed in pasteurised milk, which got a time limit ofcourse. Letting the raw milk wait to long will be contaminate with bacteria and the product needs to be processed as waste. Same with pasteurised milk, but the pasteurised milk can be longer good.

After processing the milk we need glass, to create bottles.
A filling machine to fill the bottles and then able to distribute to a colony thats close to our factory.

With more research we can even go further!
Instead of bottling the milk, the milk will be transfered with pipes, truck or train to the milk powder processing plant.
With this you're able to process milk into milk powder.
Milk powder can stay good for about a year.

After you'll need iron to make cans.
Filling machine to fill the milk in cans, and then distrubute it to a nearby colony or a colony on another planet. Trading with aliens could also be a possibility.

This would be a good option because you'll need to balans properly the milk input and packaging.

Milking an animal for milk is quite global, you could use "native" animals for it instead.

We are not global, we are universal.

But well, replace cows with Biters and milk with alien eggs, then we are on it.

milking biters for the alien eggs?

The biters (female) (the spiters are then the male? if yes, I don't want to know how that is going ) bring their eggs to the breeder. The breeder uses some kind of "tentacle" to take out the eggs. We can build a machine to do the same.
