Can you update to the latest experimental build (0.12.16) and see if this happens there as well?

Your graphics card doesn't have enough memory to hold all sprites. This was improved in 0.12, but it is still possible it won't load and you'll have to change video-memory-usage to low manually in C:\Users\John\AppData\Roaming\Factorio\config\config.ini, then it should work.
