When leaving the train, place the player at least outside of the current track. If the locomotive/wagon is located on a curved track, and the player exists it, it is possible too die if the train moves on. Placing the player outside of this deadzone would be preferred.

I agree with this. 100%.

I dont know if it is already implemented (too scared to test, to be honest), but when holding a directional key (WASD) having the game place you on that side of the train would be nice.

For example, I am on a train: I get out while holding 'W', and the train places me here: If I get out while holding 'S', I am placed here:

Now there's the mod, but it'd probably by done better by devs
