Hey and Welcome to my Idea post.
Right now I am working on a tool that can Improve the way you play Factorio, especially with multiplayer.
To make it work properly or rather to give me the possibility to make this tool awesome for Server admins I need/want something implemented in the game.
You as a player can also start the game via console.
Inside that console, before you started the game you can set some settings that are quite use full.

What I like to suggest is the opportunity to change game stuff from the console.
The same way you can to it by the console Ingame(or better).
The output should have some extra data to make it easer parsable.

Can you not use commands in the server console to control the world that the server is running? huh. I always thought that you could.

do you have an idea how to read and send to the in-game chat ?

a ingame2irc bridge would be awesome
or server announcements send to all player

let me know if you have something script working
