priorities for steam engines, solar panels and accumulators

yea i know there is "set" priorities for them already solar, steam, then accu. but i would like to be able to set them myself with a simple number setting and just set when all the each come on if i want to have some of my accu come on before my steam engine then the rest are for when the turrets surge the power grid. something like this.
solar, x number of accumulators, then steam engines, then the rest of my accumulators.

Electrical grid switches were shown in one of the latest dev blogs.
Electrical level sensors are probably in the works.
Both things put together will let you set up a grid however you want.

Exactly. Priority switches like the above will (more or less surely) not come - this has been discussed a lot. The reason is, that such switching would not work, how factorio works: You would need a circuit net to tell the accumulators etc. that they need to switch their priority now. Otherwise it would be some kind of "magic switch in a gui".
The way to do such switching is long planned and will be made with the switches, the circuit network and so on.
