I simply cant make it happen..

In one of the earlier versions of factorio i had no problems with setting the resources very high and field very big..

But @ some point that version got updated and since then i cant create big fields

Any ideas?

Have you tried lowering the spawn rate of the fields?

It seems strange that your having a lot of problems with this. I nmy experience, setting the size to large (or the highest setting) will do exactly what you want.
One thing that might be causing problems is if you are messing with the frequency settings as well. Trying to make large ore patches that are far apart using the size and frequency settings seem to do strange things, usually the opposite of what you want. Lol
Honestly I think you should have no problem if you only change the size settings.

all i do is start a new game.. set the settings to high and such of the resources.. and start the game..

The resources fields i get are very very small.. but yield very high amounts..

I truely dont get it what im doing wrong tho :S

Ive played factorio @ start with BIG fields

Moved from General to gameplay help.

The starting area is not, how the rest is created. You need to walk about 1-2 minutes around, before you see that.

i walked 10 min to the south.. and the resources fields are the same

there is serieusly something wrong my client..

@ the start when i bought this game.. i could make 10 drills downwards such a bigg fields i had..

is there any other way to make the fields bigger?

And the general failure is to set everything to high frequency. Xterminator already mentioned it.

If i set the frequency to normal my resources fields are alot bigger..
