Graphics for mods

Hi. Previously, I seen there in mods forum requirements of graphics from mod developers... where this now? Is there a place where programmers and artists can collaborate? I seen very much mods and its graphics... just terrible 
I just want to help mod developers with graphics, but I dont see a place where I can find information what to draw for mods. Whats about me: http://adkmann.deviantart.com/gallery/ Yes... I tried to create some graphics... there's nothing hard
