Hi,
The game crashed when I tried to connect a smart inserter to a medium pole that is in the quickbar (not yet placed on terrain). I suspect this would replicate for any colored wire and any pole or chest or `connectable`

What do you mean connect to a pole in the quickbar? That is not possible.

Can you reproduce it and upload a crash log?

Steps to reproduce (at least the issue I just found):

1. Start MP game with latency hiding enabled
2. Start dragging wire
3. Click on any item in your inventory
4. Crashes with "Unknown wire: *item name you clicked*"
