Now: if you want to drive a lok/car place it, enter it, open inventory (on lok switch to it) and put in a stack of coal/whatever burns, now you can drive.

Wanted: place car/lok, enter it, drive. If needed, a piece of the biggest stack of burn able material taken and filled automatically.

Just spares time for something which must be repeated over and over.

Should be a cheap researchable thing.

it doesnt take much fuel.
I think gass stations would be better when oil is in the game

Sorry, Lok is the German short word for locomotive. Sometimes I forget, that I write in English.
I mean with loco is it the same for English?

The more it is wasted time to feed his car. I want to drive, not to fuel.

I must admit I never used cars or trains, but can't you just use fillers as a gas station replacement?
I wonder if they'd fill up cars and trains with coal. But hey, we might get an oil industry some day, and then it will all change again anyway

on one of my first games i used a catching system which i would drive into and the car would be manuvered into a que by belts and then it would be refuled.
i liked that system, as long as i was going generally north when i got out it worked wonders, however other directions left a chance of driving over my own factory when i got back into the car.....

Yes, Train Engines can be refilled by inserters at stops.
With the current system, putting a coal mine/stockpile side-station at some mid-point for your trains to stop at briefly to get a few seconds of coal, is a good way to centralize your refueling, without making large alterations to any current system.
