Should ores show above concrete?

So I have been playing around with concrete today (ie. mass producing and throwing it everywhere :D) and have noticed that any ores still show above concrete.

I think that concrete should actually make the ore hidden unless you go back and remove the concrete from above it. I am not only using concrete for it's speed bonus but also for it's aesthetic purposes.

What do you guys think?

I guess this is implemented in a way that concrete simply replaces the default ground surface texture and not adds another layer.
The reason for such implementation would probably be the fact that adding another layer for concrete would affect the game performance.

So in order for developers to make concrete hide the resources they should either make additional layer for concrete which would hurt performance or temporarily hide/remove specific ore chunks.

Now I would suggest the later. Why? Because by doing so they can also make sure that the ore that is beneath the concrete can not be mined. Which would seem realistic wouldn't it.

Sounds reasonable, ore under concrete should not be visible / mine-able
