A short while searching revealed nothing of this nature in the current selection of mods. I might even try my own hand at it if I can figure out the basics of modding Factorio.

Gun Carriage
A standard gun turret to be pulled by a train, maybe two turrets on a single carriage if possible? I could imagine an extra-short carriage with only one turret on it to be nice, if shorter wagons are doable. All the modded wagons I've seen so far are the same length.

Laser Carriage
As above, but with laser turrets. The issue of electricity arises. Capacitor wagon might be needed, and I believe I have seen that in the past.

The 5dim mods has this feature, as well as electric train and electric train tracks. The main downside is that the carriages need to stop to work, so they aren't ideal. I think this is due to modding restrictions rather then a design decision however.

What about basing it on the module laser turret instead of the structure laser turret? Would that allow it to be mobile, if it works at all?

Should be possible with the gun turret but the laser one might be a little more difficult !

PS you would need to teleport the entity thiugh it might not look so good.

A bit of necromancy here, but it's not a limitation at all. I know it is possible to have a turret that is active while moving, I've seen another alpha mod (autocar) do it with vehicles.

I may look into this idea. I think a roboport carriage is another possibility.
