Tiling a blueprint with rails and elevated rails issue

I have the following blueprint:

09-25-2026, 01-08-51.png (1.68 MiB) Viewed 239 times

Apparently both X and Y grid positions need to be either even or odd.
I want to tile the build cleanly on the concreted area (having the green dotted border overlapping the concrete), instead of one block above as it currently is, like so:
09-25-2026, 01-07-50.png
09-25-2026, 01-07-50.png (14.32 KiB) Viewed 239 times

I don't understand why it's not possible. Why am I able to align the grid like I want in one direction but not the other? Am I missing something? I don't suppose that's a bug?

I'm aware this is a minor inconvenience and the blueprint is almost-perfectly usable as-is, but with wube's commitment to QoL, I'm surprised to see this...

(Also, I imagine that's been asked before, I searched a bit but couldn't find anything really relevant, I have no idea what keywords to use for that, sorry)
(Also also, obviously, that blueprint is useless, it's a small scale example of the issue I saw while workshopping a 150x150 city block design)

You cannot offset rail by one tile, it is only placeable on a 2x2 grid.

It seems the error message wasn't sufficient, as it didn't mention that grid lines containing railway lines can only be an even number.
