The user @_Mira___Mira_ on X had OpenAI's Astra do a Factorio run:

If you're interested in seeing how an AI would approach Factorio, give it a watch!

(Obviously the game itself is far longer, but the video is only 23 minutes long.)

It looks and sounds nice, usually people do the opposite, they use AI and claim they haven't it's only them, but here it's hard not to suspect the opposite, that the AI was helped a bit, like at 7 minutes the AI says " the user was annoyed and asked me to stop wasting time and token on useless testing about replays" which hints at a non fully autonomous run from the AI, maybe a bit supervised or redirected at some point, which is probably for the better ^^

It has that "weird AI" vibes when it speak, with sometimes some overly detailed explanations on very basic task for a human like transferring item from inventory to chest, which i always find funny, and i think it cheated a bit by using scripted "manual" logistic request at some part, but i found it very impressive overall. The analysis of their own mistake at the end too. Relevant for some but also funny how it talks about "the future runs". With a little thought for when the biter destroy a roboport, if it makes the run 5 hours longer, it may have cost some serious money x)
