I want to update factorio from 0.x (old) to latest 1.x Version as the mod i intend to play is not possible for 2.0 / space age.

Is it possible to autoupdate to a specific target e.g. by starting factiorio.exe with a commandline argument or some ingame option?

You can download specific game versions from the Factorio website.
