Green belts burn into certain monitors.

Hi there, I have an issue where if I sit idle without moving the camera for a few minutes, like 3 minutes tops, I'll come back and move my screen and see the belts have temporarily burned into my screen. Specifically, the flicker rate of the sides of the belt the (teeth looking parts) will remain for several minutes after the fact. I have discussed with others and while it's not universal, it does affect a subset of users on certain displays. My display is an AW3418DW.
I understand it's unrealistic expect the animation to change to cater to so few players, but I was wondering if it was possible to add an optional setting to "blur" or remove the hard black edges of the belt or something else to prevent the flicker and cause this ghosting. Attached is a video demonstrating the issue:

Thank you for your time

Do not post stuff like this in Bug Reports.

Apologies, where should I post it? Something in the game is causing a hardware issue, what would be appropriate?

Realistically: the monitor manufacturer's website/help section. That's not particularly helpful though since I doubt they will do anything to assist.
On Factorio's side; there's also nothing to be done. The game wants to display some images and the monitor is responsible for displaying them without breaking itself. In your monitors case it seems to have failed.

Understood, I'll make a mod to fix the green belts flicker rate/texture then I suppose.

I recommend you lower brightness and contrast in your monitor settings. The default settings are often very bright.
Proper settings can be seen like this: if you put a newspaper next to your monitor, the monitor image should blend with the newspaper brightness and with the environment in general. It should not be explicitly bright or even shine like a light source.
