Has the allocation/distribution of Uranium changed with 2.1?

I started a new game with the 2.1 experimental branch. I set the seed to 123454321. I just cant find Uranium. My known map (Nauvis) has never been larger. I always play very standard "vanilla", all settings are at default.

Finally I started a "Sandbox" version with the same seed. With God mode I explored and with a map that is lasrger than any I've ever played, I finally find Uranium. Map attached.

Or have I just been very unlucky with this seed?

I just checked out that seed in 2.0.77.

With default settings, I also see no uranium on the preview.

However! If you turn off the water, you'll find that two uranium patches generate in the preview area, one not far to the northeast of the center and one near the center west edge of the preview.

This is something that just happens sometimes; nice ore patches will get obliterated by later parts of the map generation process.
